Vino Nobile at Florence’s G7


During the gala dinner at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, seven ministers toasted the G7 of Culture summit with a wide selection of Nobile di Montepulciano wines. The meal was followed by a concerto conducted by Riccardo Muti.


Last 30th March Florence hosted the first G7 of Culture summit. The gala dinner was hosted by the Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini and attended by the six Ministers of Culture of Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the USA. Also attending were Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, the European Commissioner for Culture Tibor Navracsics, the Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova, as well as the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella. The supper was accompanied by a wide selection of Nobile di Montepulciano wines, the first to be awarded a Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG) and one of the most acclaimed in Germany, Switzerland, the United States as well as a great number of Asian countries.
