The world’s largest competition for extra-virgin olive oils in progress.
The fifth edition of the New York International Olive Oil Competition – the largest in the world – has started. More than 900 olive oils from 28 countries are competing for an award in one of the 24 categories, which include best monovarietal, best blend, best organic, best delicate, best medium and best strong, from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. This year, ArteCibo’s Editor-in-Chief Miciyo Yamada has been chosen as the first Japanese panel leader ever. The 2017 winners will be announced on 27 April, 5:30 pm (New York time).
