Spotlight On Olive Oil At The 2018 Origine Salon


The Origine Salon, the quality food exhibition within the annual Vita in Campagna Agricultural Fair, is back to the Montichiari Exhibition Centre from 23rd to 25th March. This year the focus will be on olive oil.


The annual gathering dedicated to quality food within the Vita in Campagna Agricultural Fair will be held at the Montichiari Exhibition Centre, in the province of Brescia. The Origine Salon will welcome more than 150 food and drink companies from all over the country, showcasing oil, luncheon meats, bread, pasta and wine, with seminars and cooking shows.

The spotlight of the 2018 edition will be on olive oil, one of the jewels in the crown of the Italian food production. In addition to the 2018 Aipo D’Argento Olive Oil Competition finals and award show, the properties of olive oil intake will be tackled by a group of experts in the conference “Learning to Identify Extra-virgin Olive Oil” (Saturday 24th March, 11:00 am, Convention Hall, 2F), which will feature drill-courses on olive oil tasting.

Numerous cooking shows will present food and recipes specific to the different regions of Italy. With 7 pavilions extending over a 35,000 m² area and more than 300 exhibitors, Fiera di Vita in Campagna is the leading agricultural fair organised by L’Informatore Agrario Publishing, luring 40,000 hobby farmers every year.
